This would be one of series that I wished to blog continuously so that I'll be able to reminisce later on in life.
Today has been so laborious that I wished I have done some warming up beforehand. Who would've knew that mixing, sieving, weighing soil could be so consuming it notably leaves your legs wobble in the end of the day?
But beneath all the exhaustion it was indeed memorable and fun (not during the process though, we are bout to cry thinking what have we got ourselves into), but the sense of accomplishment makes my heart flutters.. Until I remembered that I need to come to lab tomorrow again and might have to redo the mixing one more time. Ahaha. (jokes on me) *laughing nervously*
And this whole process of getting a project done, it really push your patience and survival ability to the edges. Everything in life (and lab work) takes time, like there's no magic whatsapp bluetick function that tells you instantly if you're being ignored :}}
If you want to sterilise stuff, put it on Autoclave and wait approx. an hour and half. Preparing BHI broth for bacterial medium? Not good to use until 24hours cos need to confirm it's free from contamination. Artificial pollution of soil with oil takes up to 48hours until the oil particles fully mixed with the soil.
No, seriously, a lot of waiting involved and this is not nearly a third of the project progress. But Alhamdulillah it is going well, major thanks to our project assistant that guided us every step of the way. I know it'll only get tougher onwards, but I do hope to nurture the value of perseverance that I am indeed be lacking today.
Wishing the best for myself and to all of you that be reading this blogpost, thank you for your time, I hope this year is the year that you cross out some of the wishlist in your life's goal, InsyaAllah. Amin
Sofwah Hayati.
